Please read carefully: We are a small breeder. All of our dogs are family pets. We love them and do all we can to maintain their health and well-being. Each adult and puppy receives age-appropriate veterinary care from a vet who has extensive experience in treating and maintaining the breed. Before we ship your puppy s/he will be examined by our vet to determine whether s/he is healthy and fit to ship. Once you receive the puppy you have 72 hours to get the pup examined by licensed vet of your choice. If your vet determines that the pup has a serious health problem at the time of this examination, we will refund your purchase price or replace the pup at our discretion, if: 1) your vet provides our vet
with satisfactory evidence of the health problem, and 2) you return, at your expense, both the puppy and the registration papers. Because we do not guarantee the health of any puppy beyond this initial 72 hour period, it is important that your vet carries out a thorough health examination.
Although this policy may seem strict, we contend that any responsible person who purchases an apparently healthy dog (as certified by two different vets -- ours and yours) is taking on the puppy for life with a "for better or for worse" philosophy. This means that you will do all you can to make sure your puppy lives a healthy, safe life. It also means that if your puppy gets sick or has any type of health problem or injury you will get him/her the appropriate vet care, at your expense, to resolve the identified problem and mitigate any issues related to the residual effects. Thanks for your serious attention to this matter and for agreeing to be a responsible owner.
